Cross the border with Neda el Món: from Cerbère -> Portbou swimming in the Mediterranean Sea

An amazing swim in the Marenda Coast reaching its 6th edition, with routes of 3,300 m and 6,600 m and children’s versions as well.
Barcelona, 28 may 2014 -Next Sunday June 15 Neda el Món invites you to swim across the border from France to Spain:
such a challenge! In fact, it used to be a crime before the Schengen Agreement. Nowadays it’s a romantic adventure.
We’ll start at Cerbère (France), following the Cap de Cerbère and enjoying part of the Marenda Coast. The challenge will end at the lovely Portbou village, protected by a rock-cut bay. From year 2013, you can swim Transfronterera (Cerbère - Portbou 3.300m) or double Transfronterera (Portbou - Cerbère - Portbou 6.600m).

The registration fee for the 6th Railsider Transfronterera is € 39 before June 5, and € 45 thereafter.

The event will also include a children’s version for small swim addicts: Swim the World Junior!
Distances, according to swimming levels will be 50 m, 100 m or 200 m. The registration fee for kids is € 3.

Transfer - Excursion
For those swimmers who want to transfer from Portbou to Cerbère walking with us, we have prepared a guided excursion to reach the point of departure. Sports shoes are mandatory! Later on, we are going to bring you your stuff in Portbou. Book it for free here:

Closure Lunch (Paellada)
To close the weekend Portbou Town Hall will prepare a Spanish rice into Portbou Football Stadium, only 3 minutes walking from the arrival point. The menu will be rice, chicken with fried potatoes and dessert. The lunch will be at 2pm. The price for adults is € 10, and € 6 for children under 12. You can book here.
