Boxing Day Swim - Ventnor, Isle of Wight, Great Britain

Sunday, 26 December, 2010 - 10:00

The Ventnor Boxing Day dip is in it's 29th year and usually attracts over 50 'brave' swimmers/dippers including children. Fancy dress is optional!

This event helps to raise funds for the island charity PATCH - Peoples Approach to Cancer Help - which helps and supports islanders to travel to the mainland for Cancer treatment.

The dip is at midday prompt and the main meeting area is at the clock tower. The pubs are open all along the Esplanade from 11am for warmth, good food and 'hot toddy'.

Bembridge Life Boat are on hand should any hardy soul take it upon themselves to attempt to carry on over to France (not to support them but to fish 'em out)!
