The international newswires reported that Macedonian marathon swimmer Atina Bojadzi unexpectedly passed away at 66. Raised on the shores of Lake Ohrid, she became the youngest champion at the age of 18 in the Ohrid Swimming Marathon. She also competed in several Maratonas Del Golfo Capri-Napoli in Italy and was the first Yugoslavian to cross the English Channel in 13:20.
